Abstract

This study examined a book of Prophetic traditions, namely "Dhamm al-Baghy" by Ibn Abi al-Dunya, with the aim of identifying the hadiths it contains that are unique to the six canonical hadith collections. The study employed a comprehensive methodology that included collecting these additions, examining their chains of transmission in detail, tracing the narrators' circumstances, investigating the rulings of early hadith critics, and finally presenting a concise summary of the assessment of these hadiths. The study concluded that "Dhamm al-Baghy" contains only three hadiths that are unique to the six canonical hadith collections. The results of the study revealed varying levels of authenticity among these narrations.
