Abstract

The research aims to explain the concept and ways of protecting the consumer from commercial fraud, which harms both consumers and honest merchants, negatively affecting consumer confidence in the market, undermining fair competition, and posing a great danger to the nation's economic future. The research addressed the definition of commercial fraud, its forms and its effects on the individual and society. It also reviewed the most important consumer protection systems in the Islamic state throughout the ages, which is "Al-Hisbah system" that aims to ensure the application of religious principles in commercial transactions
