Publication Ethics and Malpractice
At Al-Haq Journal, we believe that scientific integrity is the cornerstone of knowledge building and the advancement of academic research. We are committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and reject any form of unethical practice that could compromise the research process.
Our publishing philosophy rests on two fundamental principles: first, the shared responsibility between the journal and researchers to uphold the integrity of academic work; and second, complete transparency in addressing any violations that may arise. We recognize that scientific research is a collective human endeavor and that any ethical breach not only damages the journal’s credibility but also undermines the trust of the entire academic community.
Consequently, we treat instances of malpractice with the utmost seriousness; these include:
•    Submitting previously published research as new work
•    Falsifying data or research results
•    Manipulating images and graphs
•    Listing authors who did not make a substantive contribution to the research
•    Concealing conflicts of interest
•    Misusing confidential information
Should any such practices be detected, we follow clear procedures: beginning with a thorough investigation and communication with all relevant parties, and concluding with appropriate action—which may range from retracting the published research to notifying the relevant academic institutions.
We also strive to raise awareness among researchers—particularly early-career scholars—regarding the importance of adhering to research ethics through the workshops and guidance materials we provide. We believe that prevention is better than cure and that raising awareness plays a pivotal role in preventing malpractice before it occurs.
