Publication Guidelines

*Al-Haq* Journal for Sharia and Legal Sciences is a peer-reviewed, semi-annual journal dedicated to publishing original and innovative scholarly research and studies in the fields of Sharia and legal sciences.

  1. While welcoming scholarly contributions from researchers in these fields, the Journal outlines its publication guidelines as follows:

Research papers are accepted in both Arabic and English, provided they address issues and topics using a scholarly, well-documented approach that adheres to standard scientific research methodology—covering the study’s subject, objectives, methodology, and techniques, leading to its results, recommendations, and proposals.
  3. Citations and references must follow an academic format that includes:
    • Books: Author’s name, book title, place and date of publication, publisher’s name, and page number.
    • Periodicals: Researcher’s name, article title, journal name, issue number and date, and page number.
  4. Publication decisions are based on scholarly quality, objectivity, academic integrity, the rigor of documentation, and the absence of editorial, linguistic, or typographical errors.
  5. The text must be typed using Microsoft Word, with a font size of 14 and font type "Simplified Arabic," on A4 paper.
  6. The study or research paper must not exceed a maximum of 30 pages and must be accompanied by an abstract in both Arabic and English (not exceeding 150 words) for publication alongside the paper.
  7. The researcher must sign an intellectual property undertaking form, confirming the originality of the research and assuming sole responsibility for its publication in the Journal. Each study or research paper must be accompanied by a brief biography of the researcher, detailing their academic background, academic degree, and current position.
  8. The journal does not provide financial remuneration for accepted submissions.
  9. Submitted materials must not have been previously published, nor constitute part of a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation, nor be currently under consideration by other journals.
  10. All submissions are subject to peer review; the editorial board selects qualified reviewers on a confidential basis, and unpublished materials are not returned to the authors.
  11. Researchers are notified of the review decision within one month of the acknowledgment of receipt. The journal reserves the right to request deletions or rephrasing to ensure compliance with its guidelines.
  12. The journal reserves the right to schedule publication according to its editorial plan; upon notification of acceptance, copyright is transferred exclusively to the journal.
  13. The researcher is responsible for the linguistic review, correction, and proofreading of the paper and must provide evidence of such review prior to submission.
  14. Research papers, studies, and articles should be submitted to the editorial board via the journal's website. For submissions delivered to the journal's office, the work must be provided on a CD accompanied by two hard copies.
  15. Upon submission, all research papers are screened using plagiarism detection software (Turnitin) prior to being sent to reviewers.
