The human right to a society free of corruption

Corruption is considered one of the most serious crimes that stand in the way of the development of societies. It also represents a danger that threatens development and hinders a person’s enjoyment of his inherent rights. Violating them undermines the authority of the state in its commitment to protecting human rights and providing a high degree of integrity, as corruption directly or indirectly affects... Individuals and society, which is a matter related to the state’s resources and impeding a person’s enjoyment of his rights guaranteed nationally and internationally. Here, the matter requires building national plans and strategies to combat corruption from a human rights perspective that derives its legitimacy from religious and social values, and from constitutional and legal rules that protect the human rights system against corruption of all kinds and the necessity of the state’s commitment as a policy. Public and executive institutions should develop the necessary programs to ensure this.
