The concept of medical objects and their protection under the rules of international humanitarian law
Abstract
International humanitarian law has established a set of legal rules to ensure the greatest degree of protection for medical facilities , given the role they play in treating and caring for the wounded and sick and providing the appropriate environment and conditions for the performance of their humanitarian duties during armed conflicts , even if they are affiliated with the armed forces and urging the warring parties to respect and observe the provisions and rules of this law , and to hold accountable the perpetrators of crimes resulting from repeated violations of the established rules for the protection of medical facilities .
